Squad composition

How the 27-player squad breaks down by position, as published by Denver for 2026-27. Players listed at two positions are counted at both, since they provide cover in either.

• Goalkeepers3
• Defenders7 (5)
• Midfielders13 (10)
• Forwards7 (6)

3 players are listed at two positions; the figure in brackets counts only single-position players.

Who is leaving, and when

8 of the 27 are in their final year, so on current form that many places open up next summer — 30% of the squad. A redshirt year does not change this: a redshirt senior leaves when a senior does.

Going by position: 3 midfielders, 2 goalkeepers, 2 defenders, 1 forward.

• Freshman5

  2 defenders2 midfielders2 forwards

• Sophomore9

  4 forwards3 midfielders2 defenders1 goalkeeper

• Junior4

  4 midfielders1 defender

• Senior (final year)7

  3 midfielders2 defenders1 goalkeeper1 forward

• Graduate (final year)1

  1 goalkeeper

Final-year groups are shown in amber. A player listed at two positions is counted under each of them, since they provide cover in either, so the positions on a row can total more than the row itself. Redshirt players are counted in the year they are listed for. 1 player has no class year published and is not counted above.

Recent results

Overall record across the last 3 seasons. Soccer is a fall sport, so each season runs from August to a championship in December of the year shown. The NCAA files them by academic year, so the 2025 season appears as 2025-26 on its own site.
