Squad composition

How the 27-player squad breaks down by position, as published by UAB for 2026-27. Players listed at two positions are counted at both, since they provide cover in either.

• Goalkeepers5
• Defenders10
• Midfielders5
• Forwards7

Who is leaving, and when

14 of the 27 are in their final year, so on current form that many places open up next summer — 52% of the squad. A redshirt year does not change this: a redshirt senior leaves when a senior does.

Going by position: 4 defenders, 4 forwards, 3 goalkeepers, 3 midfielders.

• Freshman6

  2 defenders2 forwards1 goalkeeper1 midfielder

• Sophomore4

  2 defenders1 goalkeeper1 forward

• Junior3

  2 defenders1 midfielder

• Senior (final year)14

  4 defenders4 forwards3 goalkeepers3 midfielders

• Graduate (final year)0

Final-year groups are shown in amber. A player listed at two positions is counted under each of them, since they provide cover in either, so the positions on a row can total more than the row itself. Redshirt players are counted in the year they are listed for.

Recent results

Overall record across the last 3 seasons. Soccer is a fall sport, so each season runs from August to a championship in December of the year shown. The NCAA files them by academic year, so the 2025 season appears as 2025-26 on its own site.
